A recreation of Marle or Princess Nadia from the game Chrono Trigger. I have seen many images of the first character design of her by Akira Toriyama, the artist responsible for Chrono Trigger character designs and Dragon Ball Z. His second rehash of the Trigger characters for later game ports looked more simpler and less effort placed on it. Searching for either of these images turned up unsatisfactory in terms of quality and size. I took the one I liked the most and recreated it. Although, not completely matching the original design, it wouldn't of mattered anyway since some details were not present in the crap quality images I managed to find of it.
Brings back memories, awesome work!
i like this!
this is the first picture of her that captures how i saw her based on the pixel-art. great job
A glorious recreation of the original art.
I feel old because I can't find anybody who remembers Chrono Trigger.
like the coloring here more then the original official stuff and I normally prefer hard shading and colors but I like the soft alsmot pastel like quality of the coloring here
best version of that pose
I don't think he did the drawings for the PSX/DS version. I'd guess it was the studio responsible for the animated cutscenes.
what programs did you use?
Hey, can I use this picture in a Youtube Video to celebrate CT's 15th brithday?
Looks slick. Very sharp job on the lighting.
Normally these types of fanarts are boring, but you've thrown so much of your own style and work into it that it really does look better than the original! My hat's off to you for that.
The anime scenes weren't that appealing to me anyways. I like this picture, and it's better than whoever did the original, but that isn't saying much.
Dude, that's a pretty nice fanart. I love it.
Wow nice work !
